Scanport has a maintenance service contract with Smiths Detection, the manufacturers of the six (6) HCVP-Z60 scanners it operates at MPS Terminal 3
Smiths Detections also provides systems/image/maintenance operators training for Scanport staff.
modern digital electronics (mde)
MDE are the local representatives of Smiths Detection. The company (MDE) performs level two (2) preventive/corrective maintenance on the scanner equipment and coordinates with Smiths Detection (France) on all aspects of maintenance of the equipment to assure its availability 24/7.

We collaborate with Ghana Link for the integration of the Smiths scanner system and the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS).
KONNECTED SPACE FZ-LLC, RAS AL KHAIMAH, uae
Konnected Space FZ-LLC provides Consultancy services to Scanport relating to its provision of container screening and related services at Terminal 3, Tema Port, Ghana.

Saladin Security provides security at the scanning sites. post scanning parking area and the intrusive platform.
Nuclear regulatory authority (nra)
The operation of the six (6) HCVP-Z60 scanners (irradiating devices) is governed by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority Act, Act 895 of 2015. Scanport has all the requisite NRA licenses for its operations:
Design and construction permit
Import Permit
Authorisation certificate
Certificate of compliance
ghana revenue authority & other stakeholders
Scanport provides the requisite technical and operational support (including safety and competence training, personnel dose monitoring (TLDs) badges) to the customs division of GRA whose responsibility it is to ensure the security of the maritime trade, combat any potential transactional crime i.e. smuggling, drug trafficking as well as pre-empt revenue leakages to ensure comprehensive revenue mobilisation.
Other stakeholders/statutory agencies such as National Security, Joint Port Control Unit (JCPU), Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Ghana Standard Board, Energy Commission and Forestry Commission are provided with facility workstations such as office stations, training and re-training.
nalfem consult limited & Hillpok
Scanport has contracted Nalfem Consult and Hillpok, licensed stevedoring companies, to provide qualified personnel for the physical stripping/stuffing, seal cutting, stevedoring, marshalling. forklift operation etc. These personnel undergo health, safety and specialised training before deployment.
